Andrew and Scott started up Loan Monster back in 2010 – Today, Loan Monster has offices in Perth and Fremantle with a loyal base of clients that keep coming back time and time again.
Andrew is a highly accomplished financial services professional based in Fremantle, Western Australia, boasting a wealth of expertise spanning 17 years in home & investment loans, equipment finance, risk insurance, and superannuation.
In 2010, Andrew co-founded Loan Monster alongside fellow Director, Scott Thornton.
Their vision was simple: to remove the uncertainty around home loans, make the process easy to understand & do the heavy lifting on behalf of their clients. Their primary objective; to provide easily understandable step-by-step guidance and personalised finance solutions.

As an accomplished mortgage broker with over 15 years of experience in the industry, Scott has always been motivated by the pursuit of success. One of the main learnings he took out of a 10 year career as an AFL footballer with the Fremantle Dockers, was that goals can be achieved by striving for success through hard work and discipline.
Scott is no stranger to setbacks and adversity. Diagnosed in 2004 with inflammatory bowel condition Crohn’s Disease that caused debilitating tiredness, pain and weight loss, the then 21-year-old was at the crossroads after having only played 6 AFL games. Rather than allow the illness to define him, Scott decided to prioritise his health so he could continue to establish his playing career. Sticking to a careful diet and training regime helped him stay healthy for much of the following six seasons, keeping up a 40-hour a week program of gym and field work and running around 16km each game at high intensity.
Post retirement from AFL in 2010, Scott along with co-founder Andrew Siegert noticed there was a gap in the financial services market, and desired to create something that simplified the home loan process and appealed to the younger audience. As a result, Loan Monster was created and quickly became a thriving business cutting through the jargon and complex language and making home loan advice easier to understand.
Highly regarded for his good nature, communication and honesty, Scott now focusses on using the experience and attributes gained in the AFL world to help clients achieve their financial goals and has long been regarded as one of the premier Mortgage Brokers of Western Australia.
Scott endeavours to deliver fantastic customer outcomes and a great experience for each client – guiding them through every step of the loan process.
Specialising in home loan finance, Scott’s expertise includes refinancing, first or next home loans, investment loans, commercial loans and vehicle and equipment finance.

Caring, passionate and driven. When purchasing her first home in 2019, Jessie’s experience compelled her to become a broker and assist others in their own financing journeys. It can be an overwhelming process and Jessie is dedicated to making it as stress free as possible. She is a solutions based broker with a proven work ethic, she will always put everything into achieving the best possible outcome. Her analytic and problem solving skills are of great strength to her clients.
Jessie was raised in Perth by a family with a Real Estate background, giving her a unique understanding and keen interest of the property industry. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), with a Finance major from the University of Notre Dame Australia and Certificate IV Finance and Mortgage Broking at Kaplan Professional Inc.
In 2018, Jessie was a key member of the UWA Women’s Football Team’s inaugural premiership and has a strong sense of community at her core. Since hanging up her boots, she has taken up fishing and is raising two young children.
Jessie specialises in residential property finance for both self-employed and employed customers. She also offers finance for cars, recreational assets, business assets and personal loans.
